The beach is only 4 km away – perfect cycling distance – and great for a picnic by the shallow sea. The hosts will loan you a cycle if you ask in advance.

Protected beech forests are a mere 2.5 km away in a nature reserve – a very green and verdant spot in summer, perfect for walking and cycling. As well as picnicking in the nature reserve you can follow 6 km of walking trails.

Skottorp is a short car or taxi ride from pretty seaside Båstad with a river bank lined with yachts. Just inland a stream offers fly fishing for rainbow trout, or you can fish for sea trout and salmon in the sea.

Båstad is also known for its picturesque and challenging golf course. This is where Swedish pro golfer Annika Sörenstam learnt to play.

In the verdant park in summer you find a cafe and art gallery in a restored gardener’s cottage from 1820. C. 500 m from Skottorp is a dairy that makes cheeses from happy cows.
